Not my old self

I’m 62 and own a successful business I started thirty years ago. I’m married and have a great wife and successful kids who have careers outside the family business. My problem is I’m not excited about going into work anymore. I’m busy and I’m good at what I do but I don’t have the old fire in the belly I used to have. I have thoughts of selling the business but I don’t know what else I’d do. Any suggestions? (more…)

Wearing too many hats

I am the founder and owner-manager of a small $6 million in revenues manufacturing company. I have a plant manager but I’m the director of sales, marketing, and pretty much the executive team. My main outside professional is my accountant. At times I think I can use another sounding board but I don’t want to bother with a board of directors. I’m not sure what my next move should be.
